CGTET Paper 2 – Overview

CGTET Paper 2 is conducted for candidates who want to become Upper Primary Teachers (Classes VI to VIII) in government schools of Chhattisgarh.

1. Child Development and Pedagogy (30 Marks)

  • Child development: concepts and principles
  • Physical, cognitive, emotional and social development
  • Learning theories (Piaget, Vygotsky, Skinner)
  • Motivation and learning
  • Intelligence and personality
  • Inclusive education and children with special needs
  • Right to Education Act (RTE), 2009
  • Teacher’s role and responsibilities

2. Language I – Hindi (30 Marks)

  • वर्ण, स्वर, व्यंजन, संधि
  • शब्द रचना एवं शब्द विचार
  • संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, विशेषण, क्रिया
  • वाक्य रचना एवं व्याकरण
  • मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियाँ
  • अपठित गद्यांश

Eligibility for CGTET Paper 2

A candidate must fulfil any one of the following conditions to be eligible for CGTET Paper 2.

The candidate must have a graduation and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / BTC).

OR

The candidate must have a graduation with at least 50% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed.
