Eligibility for CGTET Paper 1 (Primary Teacher: Classes I–V)

A candidate must fulfill any one of the following educational qualifications to be eligible for CGTET Paper 1.

The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / BTC).

OR

The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 45% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE regulations.

OR

The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

The candidate must have Graduation degree and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
